肇慶（siu6 hing3）：
古稱端州，是端王趙佶的封地。
趙佶登基後即宋徽宗。
重和元年十月二十一日（1118年12月5日）改端州為“肇慶府”，
麗譙樓上懸掛宋徽宗親題的“肇慶府”牌匾。
七星巖（cat1 sing1 ngaam4）：
星巖指的是七座石山，呈兩列長條狀分佈，兩列石山中間有一列土山。
南列石灰巖石山由西到東分別是：
仙掌巖、蟾蜍巖、天柱巖、石室巖、玉屏巖、閬風巖，
北列為禾槍石（禾倉石），阿坡巖。還有珓杯石和石獅巖、石牌巖等。
唐代對全國名山定名時，“石室巖”被選入。明萬歴年間，增建星巖亭臺樓閣、開辟星巖二十景 。至此，七星巖之名，正式確立。
先後興建了水月宮、玉皇殿、文昌閣等；又修築登山石階至玉屏巖、天柱巖、石室巖頂。
星湖大酒店（sing1 wu4 daai6 zau2 dim3）：
1984年開始設計施工。
1992年3月正式開業。
1994年9月評定為四星級酒店。
2013年12月評定為五星級酒店，是肇慶首家五星級酒店。
2022年進行升級改造，更名為星湖陽光酒店。

Zhaoqing:
Anciently known as Duanzhou, it was the feudal estate of Duan Wang Zhao Ji.
After Zhao Ji ascended the throne, he became Emperor Huizong of Song.
On October 21st of the first year of Chonghe (December 5th, 1118), Duanzhou was renamed as "Zhaoqing Prefecture".
The plaque inscribed with "Zhaoqing Prefecture" personally by Emperor Huizong of Song was hung above Liqiao Tower.
Seven Star Rock :
Qi Xing Yan refers to seven stone mountains, arranged in two rows of long stripes with a row of earth mountains in the middle.
The southern row of limestone mountains, from west to east, are:
Xian Zhang Yan, Chan Chu Yan, Tian Zhu Yan, Shi Shi Yan, Yu Ping Yan, Lang Feng Yan.
The northern row includes He Gung Stone (He Cang Stone), A Po Yan, and Gei Bei Stone, Shi Shi Yan, Shi Pai Yan, etc.
During the Tang Dynasty's naming of famous mountains throughout the country, "Shi Shi Yan" was selected. During the Ming Wanli period, star rock pavilions, towers, and pavilions were added, and the Twenty Scenes of Star Rock were developed. At this point, the name of Qi Xing Yan was officially established.
Water Moon Palace, Jade Emperor Hall, and Wen Chang Ge were successively built, and stone stairs were built to Yu Ping Yan, Tian Zhu Yan, and Shi Shi Yan tops.
Xinghu Hotel:
Design and construction began in 1984.
Opened for business in March 1992.
Rated as a four-star hotel in September 1994.
Rated as a five-star hotel in December 2013, becoming the first five-star hotel in Zhaoqing.
Underwent an upgrade and renovation in 2022, renaming it Xinghu Sunshine Hotel.
