BoC changing inflation target would be a 'grave mistake': Desjardins Mendes

Royce Mendes, managing director and head of macro strategy at Desjardins, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss his expectations for the upcoming BoC announcement. Mendes expects the BoC to stay on hold while providing hawkish commentary as it fears rate cuts priced in could undo all the work done. Furthermore, he fears that if the BoC changes its inflation target, faith in the central bank's ability to tame inflation will evaporate.
