Welcome to Hit The Wall. A weekly(ish) podcast about running, hosted by sort-of runner Stuart and his non-running sort-of-supporting wife Aimee. Each show will focus on trying to motivate Stuart to train for his first ever marathon in May 2024, while they also chew the fat on life as parents to two children. If you're looking to learn some new running tips from this podcast, then this is not for you. If you're looking for some light relief or something to listen to while you also try and run, then stick this in your ears and enjoy the nonsense.
Hello and welcome to a new podcast, Hit The Wall with Stuart & Aimee. Enjoy this teaser trailer where we talk rubbish (get used to that) and try and get used to the whole idea of podcasting. We chat about what to expect from the show, and how you can get involved. I also slightly threaten a rabbit. Enjoy, and please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for the first episode which will be released around the middle or end of September 2023.
EPISODE 10!! We in double figures, babeh!!! And to celebrate we seemingly break the equipment halfway though the episode, so the first 13 minutes or so sounds great but the second half sounds shiiiite. Sorry about that. This week we chat running (obvs), almond milk, nipples, baws, kids asking life's big questions, communal toilets, shit comedy, magic trees and biscuits. Thanks as ever for supporting us and remember to leave us a review.
Thanks for your continued support. Please remember to leave us a review wherever you listen to your podcasts. We're back with episode 7 which involves arseholes, Joe Pasquale, scented candles and Hans Zimmer. Standard stuff from the running podcast that based on this episode is absolutely not for runners.
We're BACK! After a two week break we're back putting nonsense into your ear canals. This week we have some irks to discuss, using children as door stops, cock blocking birds, running around naked in the garden and Aimee's new business venture. And there's also some cable chat! All that and more in the running podcast that mentions running for about 2 minutes.
DISCLAIMER: This episode is our best yet (in my opinion), however I've f*cked up the audio by not switching the microphones on. So it sounds a bit shit, but the quality of the content should outweigh the quality of the audio. My bad. Soz. We discuss loads of little annoyances including chatty people, getting songs stuck in your head and the French language. We even discuss the myth of bicarbonate of soda. It's a belter! Please remember to leave a wee review of the show wherever you listen to your podcasts, and please SHARE the show with friends, family, enemies, passers by in the street, posties, your local chatty shop worker and YER MAW. And also follow us on Instagram @hitthewallpod.
Episode 4 is here! Apologies for the lateness, but its here now, and this week we talk about meeting an actual real life listener, annoyances about the English language and running terminology. Plus, Aimee has a cough. Enjoy and remember to give the podcast a rating wherever you listen to it, and you can email your questions, suggestions or funny running stories to hitthewallpod@gmail.com, and follow us on Instagram @hithewallpod
Recorded from a campervan in Inverness, it's Episode 3! This week we talk about Shinty, 9/11, cuddly toys, Sat Nav, foreign documentaries and Alan Partridge. Standard. Please note that after 9 minutes the podcast cuts off for a few seconds and goes quiet. I'd cut out a joke but didn't join the clips back together, so there's about 5 seconds of dead air. I literally can't be bothered fixing it.
Episode 2! This week, Stuart has a dilemma after his first run, Aimee talks toast and donuts, they both talk about little annoyances and Stuart tries to start a band. PLEASE NOTE, NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS EPISODE…probably.
IT'S HERE!! Episode 1 of Hit The Wall is here. In it, we chat swearing, starting a Couch to 5k, tampons and misheard words. It's a bit all over the place this one, but do bear with us while we find a structure, but there's some really funny bits in here. Remember to subscribe wherever you listen to your podcasts and give us a wee review (but maybe hold off on that til after a few episodes!). You can also email us your content suggestions or questions at hitthewallpod@gmail.com, or via our Instagram page @hitthewallpod.
