《追尋不朽的青春》(臺灣美術史系列一) 探究百年前、藝術家追求現代美術的精神意志，系列二《探尋未竟的山水》側重研究團隊的考掘，不但曲折地尋訪到呂鐵州的《鹿圖》、鹽月桃甫的《萌芽》…等重要作品，也拜訪山岳畫家呂基正的女兒呂玟及女婿李宗哲，了解二十年來，他們找尋、修復並保存父親作品的珍重心意。此外，我們也回到藝術家劉啟祥在台南和高雄的故居，經由他的兒子劉耿一和媳婦曾雅雲，了解當年劉家與日本友人坂上家庭之間的難得情誼，並因此找回幾近百年前、父親的一批早年畫作。回溯這一年多來的種種尋找過程，使我們理解到，美術史的挖掘、認識和保存工作從來未竟⋯⋯
A History of Taiwanese Modern Art (Part 2): Exploring the Unfinished Landscape
A Quest for the Everlasting Bloom went back 100 years to explore the historical context that drove the aspirations and work of artists in their persuit of modern art. Exploring the Unfinished Landscape follows Professor Yen Chuan-Ying and her research team on their continued search to uncover pieces such as “Deer” by LU Tieh-Chou and “Budding” by Shiotsuki Toho. The episode also features an interview with LU Wen, the daughter of the artist who painted mountains¬, LU Chi-Cheng. She is joined by her husband, LEE Tsung-Che, as they explain the significance behind their 20 year effort to find, restore, and preserve her father’s work. We’ll also visit the former residences of artist Liu Chi-Hsiang in Tainan and Kaohsiung where his son, LIU Keng-i, and daughter in-law, Tseng Ya-yun, explore how their cherished friendship with the Sakagami family of Japan led them to the return of paintings from Liu Chi Hsiang’s early years that were completed almost a century ago. Inside the Arts provides a retrospective on this year-long journey to help audiences understand that the uncovering of modern art history, along with the study and restoration of modern art, is an unending task…
