Just two sisters discussing women’s mental and physical health. It's not only our hobby, but our careers. We want to shed light on important topics & teach people new things every episode.

Redefining Success: Embracing Work-Life Balance in the Remote Work Era

Ever wondered how the freedom of remote work might redefine your productivity and personal happiness? That's exactly what we're unpacking today. We will take you on a journey through the landscapes of modern professional life, where work-from-home has shifted from a novelty to a necessity for many. We share our personal experiences with the flexibility that allows us to manage family commitments and enhance well-being. Bridget brings a fresh perspective from the healthcare sector, delving into the evolution and recent shifts in telemedicine, providing an eye-opening look at remote work's role in this critical field.

Family emergencies, impromptu school plays—life's full of surprises, and we're here to discuss the value of a workplace culture built on understanding and flexibility. We compare notes on how professionals across the UK and US are redefining success, often trading off higher salaries for reduced hours and a richer life outside the office. Work-life balance isn't just a buzzword; it's a blueprint for mental well-being, and we share stories that highlight its profound impact on our lives. Plus, we celebrate the technological advances that have democratized the workforce, empowering caregivers and individuals with disabilities to thrive in remote roles.

Towards the end of this episode, we get personal about the impressions left upon us by a workaholic parent and how that shaped our approach to setting boundaries between our careers and personal lives. We talk about the hustle of starting a business, navigating the learning curve to achieve harmony, and how life milestones—like becoming a parent—shift our priorities. Whether you're a seasoned remote worker or just dipping your toes into these waters, our discussion offers insights and reflections on making your professional life support the personal, with a nod to the enduring value of flexibility post-pandemic. Join us for a candid exploration of making work, work for you.

Diving Deep into the Reproductive Justice Divide

When the tapestry of reproductive rights in America begins to unravel, what's left in its wake? Join us as we embark on an earnest dialogue that brings the stark realities of abortion laws to the forefront. This episode takes you through the chilling landscape of trigger laws, examines the protected havens where abortion is still accessible, and shines a light on the grey areas of legality that are far from safe harbors. We dissect the medical and legal nuances between abortion and termination, considering the deep-seated implications these terms hold for women's physical and mental health across the nation.

The mental well-being of those affected by abortion restrictions is at the heart of our second chapter, where we unravel the psychological strain endured by young assault victims and marginalized communities. Bridget shares her perspective on the disparities in how these laws impact individuals, drawing attention to the widening chasm between privilege and disadvantage. Our dialogue also tackles the moral contradictions woven into the fabric of the pro-life argument, especially when juxtaposed with the realities of child abuse and domestic violence.

In our final chapter, the conversation shifts to the ripple effects of abortion laws on IVF treatments and the lives of families striving to navigate the turbulent waters of reproductive choices. We compare the more liberal stance of the UK with the restrictive trends in the US and ruminate on the societal repercussions of enforcing unwanted pregnancies. As we conclude, we invite you—our listeners—to engage with us and direct the future of our podcast episodes, ensuring that the issues that resonate most with you are always at the center of our discussions.

Unveiling the Effects of Social Media on Our Mental and Physical Health

Ever felt like social media was reshaping your world, or wondered how the digital age is affecting today's youth? Strap in for a rollercoaster ride through the complex terrain of online culture, where we share the good, the bad, and the ugly of our hyperconnected lives. Motherhood, mental health, and the mirthful mishaps of our family antics – we're unpacking it all with our signature blend of humor and honesty.

With a backdrop of laughter and the occasional eye-roll, we tackle the serious implications of social media on the developing minds and social skills of children and teens. From cyberbullying to self-presentation pressures, we compare our own analog childhoods to the pixelated playgrounds of Generation Z. Stirring in tales from both sides of the screen, we balance our concerns with Jennifer Garner's savvy parenting strategies, and advice on finding professional help that won't lead you down a Google rabbit hole.

This episode isn't just a walk down memory lane; it's a candid exploration of family dynamics in a world where boundaries between virtual and reality blur. We confess our fears, triumphs, and occasional fails as parents in the digital era, aided by tools like Life360, while wrestling with the broader impacts of social media on our kids' physical health. Join us – it's like having coffee with friends who aren't afraid to question whether our hyperconnected world is as rosy as it seems on your feed.

The Daughters Who Survived Living Above A Funeral Home

Welcome to Psychotic Pu**y! We are so excited to have you all listen. We are super passionate about this podcast and the topics we will be sharing in each episode.

We are two sisters with a special interest in women’s mental and physical health. We are both in the business of healthcare. We were born and raised in New Jersey at the Jersey Shore. Our parents are funeral directors, and this will come up often throughout the season. Our mother, Geri, is wild. She is an enigma. Her unusual parenting style definitely made us into the women we are today.

We created this podcast to highlight women’s mental and physical health issues. It is not only our hobby, but our careers. We want to shed light on important topics, teach people new things every episode, and do all of this in a whacky way with a little red wine.
