EMF Radiation & Protection with Hagen Thiers

Hagen Thiers, CEO of Waveguard, joins Teemu Arina to debunk common misconceptions around the harmful effects of EMF radiation and look into the effectiveness of various available countermeasures.

As a child, Hagen was electro-sensitive. Headaches, dizziness, sleep and concentration problems were part of his everyday life. A significant percentage of western population has to deal with similar effects of electrosmog. For Hagen, escaping into areas with no EMF pollution wasn’t a permanent solution.

This is why, back in 2008, he embarked on a mission to develop a product which would offer true protection against electromagnetic radiation.

Since 2019, numerous scientific studies conducted by renowned institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute have confirmed the effectiveness of Waveguard's Qi technology. Further studies are in progress, setting the company apart from the competition with a thorough commitment to factual science.

Spermidine for Longevity with Leslie Kenny

In this episode, Leslie Kenny joins Dr. Olli Sovijärvi to discuss the various health benefits of Spermidine, its natural food sources, and recommended supplementation.

Leslie Kenny is an Oxford-based entrepreneur born in California and a graduate of Berkeley and Harvard Business School. In her 30s, her life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with an array of autoimmune conditions - lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and hypothyroidism. Her doctors told her there was no cure and that they could only be managed with strong immunosuppressants.

Raised with the mentality that it's best to work with your body's innate wisdom to heal itself, Leslie chose to instead support her immune system in its natural abilities. As well as becoming a certified health coach, Leslie began helping scientists at leading European universities, including the University of Oxford, to raise money for their health discoveries.

It was at a meeting with one such scientist that she learned of a compound called spermidine. Because it was a natural and food-derived compound, not a drug that would bring in more money, no one was interested in promoting it. So with the support of esteemed University of Oxford scientists and doctors that make up our Board of Scientific and Clinical Advisors, Leslie launched Oxford Healthspan with its flagship product, the plant-derived spermidine supplement Primeadine®.

Dietary Paradigms with Wade Lightheart

In this episode, Teemu Arina sits down with expert nutritionist Wade Lightheart who, together with Matt Gallant, founded BIOptimizers and wrote The Ultimate Nutrition Bible. They discuss various approaches to discovering, analyzing and fine-tuning a person's individual optimal diet through testing and controlled experimentation.

Many currently established paradigms are based on misconceptions, assumptions, influencer-generated trends and, quite simply, the lack of proper data. As such, dietary choices are often based on generic cliché paths towards desired outcomes such as weight loss, when in fact there is no universally healthy diet especially in regard to maintaining a long healthspan. What works and is sustainable for one person may be harmful to another due to differences in genetics and gut health, which Wade illustrates by juxtaposing his own plant-based diet with Matt Gallant's ketogenic approach and providing various other examples as he explains his concept of the Pyramid of Nutritional Decisions.

Biohacking Beauty with Roberta Whitney

Roberta Whitney has over 30 years experience in the beauty sector starting from a career as an international model and eventually pivoting to Beauty Therapy (Cosmetology), Beauty Tech, Beauty manufacturing and now Beauty Consulting. She teaches positive ageing protocols to beauty and wellness seekers, and offers action steps for building and obtaining a healthy balance within mind, body and soul.

As a positive ageing devotee, she doesn't like the term “anti-ageing”. Ageing is inevitable, but looking and feeling old does not have to be. It's not just about wrinkles. Roberta explores what ageing means in our modern world today - the connection between not just looking good, but feeling good.

Finding ways to optimize beauty and overall wellness are important when you want to live not just longer, but with more energy and vitality. Human health optimization is the answer, and it is the main topic of today's conversation between Roberta and Teemu Arina which is a deep dive on nutrition, recovery, sleep, the connection to nature, balance with your ecosystem and how all of that impacts on a person's physical and mental health.

Dr. Jason Fung was born in 1973 and trained in Los Angeles and Toronto as a kidney specialist. He founded The Fasting Method to provide evidence-based advice for weight loss and managing blood sugars, focusing on low carbohydrate diets and intermittent fasting.

Many of today’s chronic medical issues are related to diet and obesity, yet treatments are focused on medications and surgeries. If you don’t deal with the root cause, the problem never improves. A dietary problem requires a dietary solution.

Dr. Fung is the author of The Obesity Code, The Complete Guide to Fasting, and The Diabetes Code. He is also the scientific editor of the Journal of Insulin Resistance and the managing director of the nonprofit organization Public Health Collaboration (Canada), an international group dedicated to promoting sound nutritional information.

Metabolic Flexibility With Siim Land
Biohacker's Live Show is a webinar series that introduces speakers of the Biohacker Summit, live and in high-quality in a talk show format to your desktop and mobile devices. The human body has evolved in an environment of scarcity and uncertainty. This has created numerous metabolic pathways and adaptations into our physiology that promote high performance and optimal health. In the modern world, people don't experience that same variation and cycling in their life. We eat the same foods, follow similar routines, and do certain activities all the time. This can lead to stagnation, digestive issues, inflammation, and disease. Metabolic flexibility refers to your ability to swap between different fuel sources and be able to metabolize different foods without suffering any negative side-effects. It's a signature of a robust and well-functioning metabolism. In this episode, Siim will talk about the characteristics of metabolic flexibility, intermittent fasting, strategies for building it, and other principles of optimal nutrition and meal timing. Siim Land (EST), often called the prodigy of biohacking, is a human optimization enthusiast who focuses on balancing longevity and health with performance and well-being. He creates content about being stronger and living longer both physically as well as mentally. His popular videos & podcasts on Youtube have already gathered over 6.5 million views. Despite the fact that he is only 24 years old, he has already authored 5 books, including the massive Metabolic Autophagy, that combines science, daily lifestyle and dietary practices that help to cross the chasm between longevity and high performance.

Limits push back in the form of waking up in the middle of the night to a racing mind, feeling like there is not enough time, and chaotic overwhelm. Keeping track of everything you have to do becomes a stressor itself. Your mind did not evolve as a task manager. In an innovative society where the only constant is change and you are required to learn at a more rapid rate than before just to keep up, optimizing brain performance is tantamount. While society may be years if not decades away from a cloud interface for the human mind, leveraging the technologies of today one can create systems to externalize aspects of our day-to-day and help knowledge workers be more productive than ever before. In this interview Boomer will lay out the technologies, tools, and processes needed to free your mind for its true purpose: critical thinking and creation. You will learn best practices for task capturing, how to build a knowledge warehouse, and how the specific organization of that knowledge will allow you to extend your capability and be more productive at the workplace. Boomer Anderson (USA) is a Partner, Performance Advisor, and Podcast Host at Decoding Superhuman. Boomer serves as the catalyst to sustainable high performance for many top entrepreneurs, CEOs, and working professionals as a Certified Epigenetic Coach (Apeiron Center for Human Potential) and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN). In his prior life as a top executive in finance, Boomer worked and assisted companies and governments in raising billions of dollars. The travel, stress, and lack of sleep led to Boomer being diagnosed with a heart condition at 30. The systematic approach Boomer took to improving his condition resulted in health and performance improvements and laid the foundations for many of Decoding Superhuman’s practices today.
