Chun-Yi shares his journey from being a child of a traditional rice pudding shop in Pingtung to becoming a multidisciplinary artist and later venturing into the food and beverage industry. Chiang, Chun-Yi, the founder and director of JIH CHAN FOODS CORPORATION, is also the third-generation successor of the CHIANG’s Rice Pudding, is also a new media artist, bio-artist, systems integration engineer, and an enthusiast of equestrian sports.
While studying for a master's degree in arts, Chiang Chun-Yi accidentally developed canned rice pudding in the bio-art laboratory, which inspired his passion and devotion to food. After graduating, he returned to his hometown, Pingtung, and began to prepare a series of plans with his mother to establish a company, brand integration, and renovation of the original store, and re-examine the future sustainable development as a local street food. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
